Linebacker Michael Hutchings (Concord, Calif./De la Salle), who seems to reel in a new heavyweight offer every week, landed one from a childhood favorite on Tuesday.Just a junior, Hutchings has already received offers from Cal, USC, Michigan, Oregon State, UCLA and Washington and landed No. 7 earlier this week."Miami just offered me," Hutchings said. "This is big because when I was growing up, USC was always my school but Miami was there too in terms of being a school I always wanted to get an offer from. I have a high interest there and I'm still blown away by all the early attention I've been getting."I think Notre Dame could be next for me and that would be huge as well. It has been a great summer so far and I'm really enjoying the process. I just visited USC a week ago for the Rising Stars Camp and that was a lot of fun. I worked out in the morning session and then did a campus tour in the afternoon. USC is a great school and the only thing I'm watching with them is how they recruit my position because sometimes I think they over recruit but I don't know if that will be an issue with the limited scholarships any more."Walker has three on topWide receiver Kenneth Walker (Richmond, Calif./Kennedy) is one of the most explosive athletes in the region. He played on both sides of the ball as a junior, but is being recruited primarily as a receiver.Walker had 2,100 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns last season and added three interceptions playing corner. He's also one of the nation's top hurdlers and could double sport in college. "My top three schools right now Cal, Boise State and Oregon," Walker said. "Cal is on top for me and I'm real comfortable with them. I visited there a few times and I like the program, the location and it's a strong school academically so there's a lot of pluses with Cal."Boise State has a great program and I like their style of play. They have been recruiting me very hard and I know a lot about the program because one of my coaches has a son who plays there. With Oregon, they offered me last month and you have to be impressed with that offense and how explosive they are. Right now, I'm not sure when I'll commit, I don't have a time frame, just when it feels right, I'll go ahead and do it."
