Four-star defensive end
Ifeadi Odenigbo (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) recently took unofficial visits to a pair of schools out West, and both Pac-12 schools have made his final five.Odenigbo, who's No. 50 in the ESPNU 150 and the No. 4 DE in the country, has made no secret about how big academics will be in his decision. He also said he has no problem leaving home to play his college ball a week ago camped with both Cal and Stanford."I loved both schools and both are in my final five," Odenigbo said. "I camped with Cal first and loved it there. I like the football team a lot and I have a really good relationship with their defensive line coach, Tosh Lupoi. I was blown away by the facilities that they're building there as well and when it's all done, I think they could be the best in the country. I have a lot of family in the Bay Area too so that's another huge plus for Cal."Stanford was great as well and I've probably done more research on them than any other school. They were the first school to offer me and I've been high on them ever since. My mom absolutely loved it there and the highpoint for me had to be having lunch with Condoleezza Rice. That was an incredible experience for sure."Odenigbo said he would like to take a few of his official visits and is still trying to figure out the time line for when he wants to make his decision."I would like to do it midway though the season but it could be after the season as well," Odenigbo said. "My five schools are Cal, Stanford, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State. Academics will be the most important thing for me and I feel very comfortable with all five of those schools. I've already visited all five schools unofficially and I'll decide later if I'll do any official visits or not."
