Auburn (Wash.) defensive tackle Danny Shelton will make his college decision on Friday at the Offense-Defense Bowl in Myrtle Beach, S.C.Shelton is one of the elite tackle prospects in the West region. He took official visits to USC, Oregon and Washington and will decide between the Ducks and Huskies."I'm ready to make my decision," Shelton said. "I'm still probably going to take more official visits after I commit and will probably check out UCLA. They have been recruiting me hard all year but my decision will be pretty solid when I make it."Washington led big early, the Ducks took the lead late and in recent weeks, the Huskies have rallied back. At this point, it looks like a coin toss between the two rivals."It's real tight, it wasn't an easy call," Shelton said. "Both schools have a lot of pluses and I know I would do well at either school. Washington is closer to home and I like Coach Sark [Steve Sarkisian] a lot. They have definitely made up a lot of ground recently."Oregon is rolling right now, I love the campus and facilities and they have a strong coaching staff as well. I've gone back and forth a few times on this but I feel good about my decision and I'm looking forward to doing it."McClure set for final visitStefan McClure (Vista, Calif./Vista) has taken four of his official visits and will take his final visit in a few weeks before making his decision. It was a great senior year for McClure as the athlete was recently named the San Diego Player of the Year after leading Vista to a CIF title. At receiver, he caught balls for 1,215 yards and 13 touchdowns and added four picks on defense, returning one for a score. He's being recruited solely as a corner but could easily play on either side of the ball in college."UCLA will be my last visit (Jan. 14)," McClure said. "I'll decide shortly after that trip and right now, I'm still open to everyone. I took visits to Washington, Colorado, Oregon State and Boise State and had a great unofficial visit to Cal as well."I've been to UCLA a number of times already but I know official visits are a lot different and the coaches really wanted me to take one there so I'm going to do that. I'm looking for comfort level, a place where I can play early, strong academics and where I feel I click with the players and coaches."
