Fast rising offensive lineman
Isaac Luatua (La Mirada, Calif./La Mirada) picked up a major offer out of the SEC and it sounds like the athlete has a new team to beat."Tennessee just offered Isaac," La Mirada coach Mike Moschetti said. "I really think that's where he's going to end up. He has a great relationship with their offensive line coach, Harry Hiestand and he's recruiting Isaac harder than anyone else."He came from the Chicago Bears and said Isaac reminds him a lot of their center, Olin Kreutz. They have the same body type and both are just really physical and want to kick the crap out of you on every play. There's something about SEC football and Isaac has no problem leaving the region. He wants to commit early, sometime in the summer and I think Tennessee could be the place."Luatua, who has also been offered by UCLA, Boston College, Wyoming and Colorado State raved about the new offer."It's a great honor to be offered by Tennessee," Luatua said. "The tradition, the SEC, and somebody I could see myself playing for. He was in the NFL the last five years and I just love his mentality. "Playing offensive line is about toughness and effort and coach Hiestand is somebody that in the short time of talking to, gets me excited and I just want to go knock somebody down for. My OL coach at La Mirada, Mike Cardona, is very similar to coach Heistand. Coach Cardona played at Purdue and they both stress toughness and discipline."Luatua isn't the only offensive lineman at La Mirada drawing national attention. Tackle prospect
Bryan Peters picked up another offer out of ACC country."I just got offered by Florida State," Peters said. "[Offensive line coach] Jeff Trickett is awesome and the one reruiting me. He's an old school guy that talks toughness. Florida State's tradition speaks for itself and distance is not a factor at all in my decision."Peters plans to camp with Notre Dame over the summer and is taking unofficial visits to Duke, NC State and North Carolina this week over spring break."I have two goals for college -- earning a degree and winning a national championship," Peters said. "My focus right now is working my tail off in the weight room and just getting better everyday."
