After bringing in a good class in 2010, Georgia coach Mark Fox recently landed his first signature recruit in shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell (Greenville, Ga./Greenville), who is the No. 11 overall player in the 2011 class. He is a very consistent offensive player with a smooth, consistent shot from beyond the arc. While he needs to work on his ballhandling, the ESPNU 100 prospect has size and athleticism with the ability to get his shot or drive the lane in transition. He is also an effective defender that can guard multiple positions on the perimeter thanks to his intensity, effort and 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame.Caldwell, who is Fox's only 2011 commit thus far, is always a threat to score and he will give the Bulldogs' a lot of scoring opportunities. With Caldwell's talent and Fox's coaching, the shooting guard could be a star in the SEC. However, it is important for Fox to continue to get pieces around his best recruit in his first two years.Fox is a proven winner at Nevada and by grabbing an in-state recruit -- like Caldwell -- away from Clemson, Florida State, Alabama and Oklahoma State; he is building a winner in the SEC.
