I recently caught up with Class of 2012 point guard L.J. Rose (Houston/ Second Baptist) at the Deron Williams Skills Academy in Chicago. The No. 5-ranked player in the ESPNU Super 60 is returning from a broken bone in his left foot and has showed signs of his old self in limited action at the skills academy. "My foot is feeling pretty good and I am getting a lot of treatment around playing," said Rose. "My No. 1 strength is my court vision. I can make plays. I must continue to work on being more vocal and adding strength to take my game to the next level."Rose is a true point guard that can not only make plays for others, but himself as well. a total package "The last nine weeks of the school year, I finished with a 3.0 GPA and my favorite subject is math," said Rose who has taken care of business in the classroom as well as on the court. Rose is one of the most highly-recruited players in the country. He is looking Texas, Baylor, Kentucky, Memphis, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, Virginia and Harvard. He will begin taking unofficial visits this fall during football season.
