• More highlights from Nike EYBL

The three day marathon of covering the Nike EYBL was a test of endurance. In our initial recap (fellow colleague John Stovall III helped out) we selected the best of the best of the event. As I went through my notes a second time, I noticed there were a plethora of other players that deserve some exposure as well, including the No. 1 rated player in the 2011 class, Michael Gilchrist (Somerdale, N.J./St. Patricks).

Best of the rest

Michael Gilchrist
2011, SF, 6-foot-6, 210 pounds
If I was starting a team from scratch (for college) utilizing the talent in the 2011 class I would go with Gilchrist. Despite his inability to knock down jump shots on a regular basis, nobody affects the overall game at both ends like him. Kyle Anderson (Paterson, N.J./Paterson Catholic)
2012, SF, 6-7, 215 pounds
He is one of the most unique prospects in the country. Anderson has point forward skills and the savvy of an NBA veteran. Whether it's knocking down the 3-pointer, putting up a floater in transition or dumping off a dazzling assist, Anderson can do it all. Ben McLemore (St. Louis, Mo./Eskridge)
