Edwin Mejia, agent for Cuban left-hander Aroldis Chapman, says he will meet with representatives of the Baltimore Orioles sometime in the next couple of days in New York City. Additionally, Mejia and Chapman also will meet with representatives of the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers this weekend or early next week.
On Wednesday, the highly touted Cuban defector had a positive visit with Boston Red Sox officials at Fenway Park. Chapman met several Red Sox players, who were at Fenway by coincidence. Mejia joked that Chapman, 21, came away most impressed with Fenway's deep right field.
