• Lessons learned from the Sano situation

Shortstop Miguel Angel Sano is considered by some the best Dominican prospect in many years, and yet times are tense in the Sano household, according to a source close to the family. A period which was supposed to positively transform the fortunes of a poor and humble family from San Pedro de Macoris has instead turned sour. Sano's mother, Melania Jean, has endured endless and embarrassing scrutiny concerning a previously failed pregnancy and Major League Baseball continues to look for any bit of evidence that the family has altered Sano's age. The family simply wants the whole ordeal to end. But perhaps this whole situation can be turned into a positive.
