Stereo Skateboards and Keep A Breast Foundation have partnered up by releasing limited edition Vinyl Cruiser boards as a way to support a great cause and contribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Both companies hail from the revamped art district located in downtown Los Angeles, Calif., making these limited skateboards a neighborhood operation. KAB founder, Shaney Jo Darden, enthusiastically states, "I am so happy to work with my good friend Chris Pastras at Stereo Skateboards on a new vinyl cruiser collaboration benefitting Keep A Breast. As an artist, Chris has been a supporter of KAB for as long as I can remember and now we have the opportunity to have Stereo as a major supporter for our educational programs."
Known as both an artist and a skateboarder, Stereo co-founder Chris Pastras has personal motivation behind the collaboration as well, explaining, "I have had breast cancer affect my family, so working with Keep A Breast has always held special meaning for me. I did a hand-painted breast casting for the foundation years ago, so to reconnect and do this project was really special."
The collaboration consists of 3 vinyl cruiser completes that feature Stereo trucks, and 59mm Stereo x KAB wheels. The decks are offered in hot pink, white and black mirroring Keep A Breasts color palette. Each deck comes with a sticker pack, keychain and sunglasses, to keep supporters styling on and off their boards.
After Keep A Breast kick-started their "Non-Toxic Revolution," which serves to inform the public about the negatives of using plastics, it was important to them that the boards be ecologically responsible. Stereo's Vinyl Cruisers are made with a recycle code 7 plastic, which is a safer option and are very durable and resistant to high heat.
The Stereo x Keep A Breast Vinyl Cruisers come in a handy, easy to wrap, carrying case. For every board sold, three dollars will go to Keep A Breast to continue their work of promoting breast cancer awareness and supporting their programs aimed at prevention through education.
