Canadian Josh Dueck has had quite a year.
Last January, he earned a bronze medal in Mono Skier X at the 2012 Winter X Games in Aspen (an event he won in 2011). He was the star of a film called "Freedom Chair," which earned best documentary at the 2012 Powder Video Awards. And then in the February, Dueck became the first person to land a backflip in a sit ski, a stunt that landed him on the homepage of ESPN.com and on the Ellen show.
In 2004, Dueck was paralyzed when he overshot a landing while skiing in British Columbia. We spoke to him recently from Whistler, BC, about his season, his accident's impact on his life, and his plans for this coming winter.
