It's not often I get news from Mongoose, let alone about them hosting their own event, but come this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday they'll be doing just that. Twenty-five pros and five amateurs will come together to compete in street, park and dirt contests, in the first-ever Mongoose Jam at Woodward west. It will be scored in a unique team format for total pro purse of $40,000.

Here's how it will work: Five of the Mongoose team riders -- Steve McCann, Cam White, Ben Wallace, Greg Illingworth and Paul Ryan -- will serve as team captains, selecting four pro riders and one lucky Woodward camper to compete with them in a jam. Two riders from each team will compete in either the street, park or dirt competitions. Pros will ultimately split up the $40,000 prize purse and the five Woodward campers each get a Mongoose flow deal and more!
