Cameron, Sthalekar star in Australia win

Australia 138 for 4 (Cameron 67, Lanning 34) beat India 109 for 8 (Harmanpreet 57, Sthalekar 3-17) by 29 runs
Scorecard

Australia continued their success on their tour of India, beating the hosts by 29 runs in the first of five Twenty20 internationals. After choosing to bat, Australia put up a challenging score, thanks largely to a 102-run stand for the second wicket between opener Meg Lanning and Jess Cameron. Lanning was the steadier of the two, scoring 34 in 45 balls, hitting just one boundary while Cameron scored briskly, striking six fours and two sixes in her 67 off 50.

India's reply began poorly, the openers falling inside the first two overs. Harmanpreet Kaur and captain Anjum Chopra helped India recover from 42 for 3. Harmanpreet made 57 off 48, adding 58 with Chopra, who made 24 in 27. Both, however, fell in quick succession and India's chances went with them. India were kept to 109 for 8. Lisa Sthalekar picked up three wickets.
