WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. --Dale Earnhardt Jr. passed Ron Fellows
on the final lap to win the Lysol 200 for
his third straight victory in the NASCAR Busch Series.
Earnhardt, the series point leader, passed Fellows on the 82nd
lap at Watkins Glen International and extended his point lead to
129 over 16th-place finisher Matt Kenseth.
Earnhardt, the defending series champion, started the race with
a 64-point margin over Kenseth.
Fellows had an outstanding weekend, earning the Bud Pole Award
for the Busch Series, and won the pole position before winning the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' Bully Hill Vineyards 150 on
Saturday. But he fell short on the final lap of Sunday's race. He
led the race on four occasions for a total of 52 circuits,
including laps 1-10, 29-39, 41-47 and 58-81.
Mike McLaughlin finished third, while Jack Baldwin and Jason
Keller were fourth and fifth, respectively.
The NASCAR Busch Series continues at The Milwaukee Mile next
Sunday with the DieHard 250.
